Recent outage

Our web based systems failed for approximately 70 minutes earlier today – from around 10:40 am PDT to 11:50 PDT.

Everything is back to normal now, so please report any problems in the usual way – as described in this post.

The failures were due to a problem in our web providers datacentre. It seems to be related to some maintenance on other servers in the same datacentre (not ours!).

It took down all our servers in one go, including the webservers we use to provide some background assistance to the Hermes music player range – as well as the hosting for the music playback for Hermes albums.

Unfortunately because it took down all our servers, we weren’t able to blog about it. We announced the outage via @hermesannounce on Twitter. For future updates, please follow us there!
